Join us in the beautiful Cowichan, described by the late Canadian artist E.J. Hughes as “the most beautiful place on earth”. IslandSkye is located just north-east of the regional center of Duncan in North Cowichan in the traditional territory of the Cowichan Tribes.
Choose either the Arbutus or Garry Oak Rooms, overlooking Lake Quamichan and Mt. Prevost. Walk the gardens in our half-acre rural property and enjoy the variety of trees, shrubs and flowers in this Maritime Mediterranean climatic region of Vancouver Island. The name Cowichan means “the warm land”.
Your hosts Paul and Val Borthistle wish to share with you the Cowichan Valley, offering a premium lodging experience highlighted by cuisine featuring the local produce of the Valley.
On the day of your arrival, over a beverage, your hosts will explore with you the options for local attractions, wineries, recreational activities, and dining.
Your hosts desire your comfort. The rooms and facility are cleaned with high pressure steam without the use of chemicals (other than environmentally friendly laundry soap). The sheets are quality cotton and the pillows and bedding are seasonally appropriate non-allergenic materials.
